Mohamed Salah appears to be in his final moments at Liverpool, with speculation of a possible January exit intensifying. But one of the most talked about destinations, Bayern Munich, has categorically ruled out such a scenario.
The Bavarian club's sporting director, Max Eberl, has rejected the idea of transferring the Egyptian star, saying that such a move does not fit with the club's philosophy.
"It would go against our philosophy. I respect him a lot as a player and I think he has made history at Liverpool, but we cannot superimpose a player in the position of a talent like Karl. It would be harmful," Eberl told German media.
He added with irony: "Fortunately for me, his recent events with the English club are not my problem."
German legend Sami Khedira also expressed his opinion in the same vein, stressing that such a move "makes no sense." According to him, Bayern is not a club that builds a team on players at the end of their careers.
It's not the first time the Bavarians have rejected a big name. Cristiano Ronaldo, once in search of a team after leaving Juventus and Manchester United, was offered to the German club, but the response was the same: no sky-high salary and no big names who are past their prime.
