Real Madrid are expected to be stripped of their 3 points after the victory

Franco Mastantuono's first match for Real Madrid has caused a real controversy in Spain that involves more than just on-field matters.

Los Blancos risk losing their win against Osasuna due to the Argentine's introduction, which allegedly led to a serious breach of the rules:

Miguel Galan, the president of CENAFE (the Spanish coach training center), has filed a complaint regarding the inappropriate behavior of Xabi Alonso's team, who allegedly broke the rules by sending their young star onto the field.

The problem lies in the way the attacker was registered, an act committed in bad faith according to the lawyer, which opens up the possibility of a complaint from opponents and a possible loss at the table.

But what happened and how did Real Madrid break the rules?

Real Madrid paid €60m to sign him from River Plate and fans were eager to see him on the pitch. When he entered the Santiago Bernabeu for the first time in the 65th minute of their first La Liga match, the entire stadium erupted in applause, but those few minutes could cost Madrid a defeat on the table.

The complaint comes from Galan, who cites the rules: Mastantuono is actually a first-team player, but was registered as a Castilla player, essentially Real's second team that plays in the third division.

There is nothing wrong with this, given that it is the same club, but according to the lawyer, this is a ruse to overcome the barrier of 25 places in the first team: by registering the player with Castilla, Real Madrid would not occupy a place in the first team and would thus be able to register more players than is allowed.

According to article 125 of the RFEF regulations, the registration of a player in chain teams cannot be used to circumvent the spirit of the rules and for this reason "Los Blancos" have acted in bad faith, according to Galan.

If verified, the bureaucratic fraud could have serious consequences: Osasuna has 24 hours after the end of the match (played last night) to file a complaint and report Mastantuono's irregular registration.

If the violation were verified, Real Madrid would risk losing the match on the table, as well as looking bad for ignoring a fundamental rule for all teams.
