The case of Leon Avdullah continues to resonate in the Swiss National Team.
The Hoffenheim player, who chose Kosovo, is the main topic in Switzerland, with the "Swiss" fearing another similar case.
While the Swiss are delighted to have snatched the services of Ardian Bajrami, the 23-year-old defender, from Albania, they are also afraid that they could lose the services of Albanian Albian Hajdari, 22, who is wanted by Kosovo.
In fact, Switzerland have been hit twice recently. Not just Avdullahu. They also lost the services of young defensive talent Eman Kospo, 18, who decided to represent his home country, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The director of the Swiss national team, Pierluigi Tami, has commented and rejected the accusation that the Swiss Football Federation (SFV) has been asleep in these cases.
" More than 70 percent of our players have dual citizenship, not everyone can play for our adult national team ," Tami said, Blick reports.
While Avdullah's rejection was painful, he instead singled out players like Valon Behrami, Gelson Fernandes, Breel Embolo and Manuel Akanji, who had chosen to play for Switzerland.
" We lost maybe two or three players in total. But with the exception of the 2012 European Championship, we have participated in every tournament recently. So we have done nothing wrong ," he stressed.

The Luzern defender, born in Langenthal, is choosing not to be part of the Albanian team because he wants to play for Switzerland.
According to Tami, there are three criteria a player must meet to be considered for the Swiss Football Association.
" First, a player has to be good enough. The second criterion is our values; a player has to want to play for Switzerland. And the third is patience, because there can be a lot of competition for a position at the moment. If one of these criteria is not met, then the best solution is to part ways, " says the director of the Swiss national team.
But, as they rejoice in the approach of Eid, which has met the three criteria above, calls are being made in Switzerland for Albian Hajdari.
Quick action is required there, as Hajdari is already threatening to become the next talented player to leave.
Hoffenheim's new player is being followed by Kosovo.
Unlike Avdullahu, Hajdari has already played for the Swiss national team, but only in a friendly match against Luxembourg in March.
However, Tami says he doesn't feel "worried" about this. He claims that the door to Switzerland is "open" for Hajdari. Although, it's up to coach Murat Yakin what he will do with the young player.
Meanwhile, the first team of Switzerland features Albanians: Bajrami, Ardon Jashari and Granit Xhaka.
In the Swiss U-21 team are: Gentrit Muslija, Dion Kacuri, Dorian Derbaci and Labinot Bajrami.
