Alen Sherri has been very unlucky this weekend, as he was injured in Frosinone's first official match of the season in the Italian Cup where they won against Monza. A collision between the Albanian goalkeeper and a teammate led to the injury of Sherri, who left the field bleeding and was taken to hospital.
The injury was serious, as it is reported that the red and black goalkeeper suffered multiple fractures in his facial bones. Even if he does not undergo surgery, he is expected to be out of action for a long period, ranging from one to two months.
Therefore, Frosinone also had to make a decision on what to do in the transfer market to cope with this situation that has arisen. According to media outlets close to the club, it has been decided to wait for Sherri's rehabilitation and not buy or loan a new goalkeeper. Considering that the team has only three official matches in a month, the young Lorenzo Palmisani will be entrusted with the goal.
This way, Sherri will have the right time to rehabilitate and not worry about returning to the field quickly, as when he fully recovers and gets the green light from the doctors, he will once again have his starting spot ready for the Serie B club.
