
The first half of the match between Ukraine and Albania ended with the nets intact. The match was characterized by a slight dominance of the Ukrainians in creating chances, while the Rossoneri focused mainly on defense and counterattacks.
From the first minutes, Ukraine appeared more demanding. In the 4th minute, Yaremchuk tried from distance, but Strakosha was attentive. The pressure continued in the 7th minute with Malinovski, whose shot was deflected for a corner.
The most dangerous chance came in the 10th minute, when Hutsuliak broke into the area, but Mitaj's intervention averted the danger. Meanwhile, in the 17th minute, Ukraine managed to send the ball into the net with Yaremchuk, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
In the same minute, Yaremchuk tried again, but without accuracy. The clearest chance for the home team came in the 24th minute, when Voloshin came out alone in front of the goal, but Strakosha reacted decisively by deflecting the shot.
Albania responded in the 25th minute with Broja, who broke through nicely from the right but failed to finish in front of the goalkeeper. However, the rest of the game remained under Ukraine's control.
Malinovski (29') and Shaparenko (31') tried, but without success, while in the last minutes Ukraine increased the pressure: Hutsuliak (40') and Malinovski (41') came close to scoring, but Strakosha and inaccuracy in the finalization kept the score unchanged.
