A new chapter for Marco Reus, former Dortmund striker moves to MLS

After the exciting parting with Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus follows the "American dream" and starts a new adventure in his career. The German, as a free agent, is transferred to LA Galaxy, a team that competes in the MLS.

LA Galaxy announced today that the club has signed midfielder Marco Reus to a two-and-a-half-year contract until the end of the 2026 MLS season.

Reus, 35, joins the Galaxy after a stellar career at Borussia Dortmund, where he scored 301 goals in 429 career appearances in all competitions across 12 seasons (2012-2024) for the German club.

Reus was voted German Footballer of the Year twice (2012, 2019), was awarded the Bundesliga Player of the Year three times (2011-12, 2013-14, 2018-19), was selected in the UEFA Team of the Year of the Year (2013) and helped Dortmund win the German Cup twice (2016-2017, 2020-2021) and the Super Cup in 2013 and 2019.
