The case of "Najara Ferriera", the Dinamo volleyball player who was suspended by the Volleyball Federation after initially refusing to undergo a gender test, continues to make a lot of noise, but this time this issue has crossed the limits, with the prestigious Reuters dedicating a full report to the Brazilian volleyball player, bringing her condition, the reactions of the protagonists, such as the Dinamo coach, or the captain of this team. In her story, Najara asks several questions, why her in particular?
" I mean, this is the first time in history in Albania that something like this has happened, and they did this to me, why? That's my question. What's the problem? In this situation, they haven't given me any legal basis, any documents. They haven't asked me for anything. They haven't asked, for example, from the Brazilian Federation, or anything like that, anything. They just came and told me: Najara, you have to take a gender test. That's it. If you don't do it, you're suspended from the championship and the club will lose 10 points because of this ."
In her interview with Reuters, Najara adds that people now see it differently:
" Maybe people look at me and think: hmm, is that a woman or a man? So, I'm in this situation now. It's not something I want to be. Now I don't feel safe anymore. Every time I go out on the street, I feel like something could happen to me after this ," Najara said.
Meanwhile, Dinamo coach Orlando Koja said that this news, these rumors, are not good for the team, while for the captain of this team, Elena Bego, there is no doubt that Najara is a girl.
