Albania, thanks to Lara Koltur, has increased its participation with two skiers in the Winter Olympic Games to be held in Cortina, Milan from February 6 to 22, 2026. Although there are 16 disciplines in total, 1 more than "China 2022", Albania will only be represented in alpine skiing.
Thanks to Lara Koltur's improved results, Albania will no longer be represented by 1, but 3 skiers in the girls' category. In addition to Koltur, who was ranked among the top 8 in the world at the last world championship, the red and black flag will also be represented by skiers Semire Dauti and Lisa Brunga in Cortina. Both of these skiers are seen with perspective, as Semire Dauti is only 18 years old, while Lisa Brunga is 17 years old.
In total, Albania will be represented by 4 athletes at the Winter Olympics, while in the men's category there is only Deni Xhepa. Also a skier. The 22-year-old is invited to be at the Olympic Games, while the Albanian athletes will be handed the flag with an official ceremony organized at the presidency on January 16.
With Lara Kolturi, the objective is for Albania to win an Olympic medal at the Winter Games for the first time.
