The woman who accused P. Diddy of rape in 2001 recalled her traumatic experience at a press conference in Los Angeles. Thalia Graves has revealed that she met the rapper when she was 25 years old.
"It is a pain that strikes at the core of who you are. I still feel shame and guilt, I can't function normally," said Thalia between tears, reports Page Six.
She said she often blamed herself and felt responsible for what allegedly happened to her. She claims Diddy and his then-security chief, Joseph Sherman, sexually assaulted her at the rapper's New York studio. Her attorney Gloria Allred told reporters that Diddy and Joseph filmed their alleged assault on Thalia without her consent and then sold the video.
"I don't know how aware she was of what was going on, but she would never have agreed to be filmed," Allred added.
Thalia claims in the lawsuit that Diddy must have drugged her, which she claims caused her to lose consciousness for a short time. She then described the impact the incident had on her life.
“A number of relationships became aggressive and violent, which made me feel even more alone during my struggle. I go through moments of being distant and withdrawn. It's hard for me to leave the house. This trauma has affected my mental health."
