Following the sudden death of wrestling legend and renowned entrepreneur Hulk Hogan at the age of 71, attention has focused on the division of his considerable fortune, which is expected to be the subject of legal discussion and perhaps even family clashes.
Skye Daily, his third wife, whom he married just two years ago, is legally entitled under Florida state law to inherit up to 30% of his estate, even if the wills have not been officially updated.
According to The US Sun, Hogan possessed a considerable fortune, including an $11.5 million estate in Clearwater, active businesses and income from his career in wrestling and the entertainment industry.
Inheritance expert June Frederiksen explained that despite possible detailed planning through a revocable trust, Skye Daly is entitled to a “spousal elective share” under the law. This means that, unless she is explicitly excluded from the trust, she automatically benefits from a third of the estate.
"Even if it's not mentioned in the will or trust, the law gives her the right to claim her share," Frederiksen said, emphasizing that any assets left outside the trust are exposed to legal claims and creditors.
The situation could be further complicated if the will turns out to be outdated or if someone in the family decides to challenge its provisions. One person mentioned as a possible target for legal action is his daughter, Brooke Hogan, with whom he has had a strained relationship for years. Hogan is said to have had no contact with him for a long time and has never met her twin grandchildren, who were born in January.
"If Brooke is excluded from the inheritance, she has the right to seek the will in court," Frederiksen stressed.
Hogan's net worth is estimated at around $25 million, and his activities include businesses such as Hogan's Beach Shop, Hogan's Hangout restaurant, and the Real American Beer brand. He has also been active in film projects and television shows for decades.
Hogan died on July 24 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his Clearwater home. He had endured months of difficult health, including major neck surgery and repeated hospital stays. Doctors tried to revive him for 30 minutes, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
In his personal history, Hulk Hogan was previously married to Linda Claridge, with whom he had two children, Brooke and Nick. Their marriage ended in 2009, after 26 years. He then married Jennifer McDaniel, a marriage that ended in 2021.
Now, the division of his estate will enter a sensitive legal phase, expected to involve debate between heirs, former partners and, potentially, the Florida judicial system.
