Kanye West's former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, has gone into hiding for her life. The 36-year-old claims she fears she will be killed after filing a sexual assault lawsuit against the famous rapper.
Pisciotta began working for West in 2021, and on June 3, 2024, she filed her first lawsuit, accusing him of sexual harassment and stalking.
In an updated version of the lawsuit, filed on July 10, 2025, she accuses the rapper, also known as Ye, of sex trafficking, stalking, violence and rape.
The civil trial is expected to return to court next month, but according to her lawyer, Arick Fudali, his client is "scared" and withdrawn from public life.
In an interview with the BBC, lawyer Fudali stated that Pisciotta "has simply isolated himself, letting the legal process take its course."
"It's very sad, she's been through a lot. She's suffered and continues to suffer from the moment she started working for Mr. West," said the 36-year-old's lawyer.
According to the updated lawsuit, Pisciotta claims he was the victim of an intentional “swatting” attack (the false reporting of a serious crime to incite violent police intervention).
Six days after filing the initial lawsuit, she claims she faced an armed raid by police in Florida, following a false complaint that she had killed her mother.
She also says she has received anonymous phone calls threatening her to drop the lawsuit, telling her she will "never win against Kanye West."
The lawsuit alleges that while working on the DONDA album, West followed Pisciotta to her hotel room, claiming he wanted to use the shower.
She claims he then came out of the bathroom, took off his towel and raped her. According to her, West also had sex with employees of his company, Yeezy, in the office, recording the acts and sending them to her.
He frequently sent her sexually explicit messages, including fantasies about her. In court documents, Pisciotta claims that employees were repeatedly exposed to West's racist and anti-Semitic statements.
