A serious incident shook the village of Majac in Podujevo on Sunday evening, where a man and a woman lost their lives as a result of gunshots, while the perpetrator herself died in hospital.
According to Kosovo Police, the man, identified as Ilaz Brahimi from Obiliq, was found dead inside a car parked outside a house.
Two women were found inside the apartment with gunshot wounds, one of them the 31-year-old perpetrator Ardita Gashi and the other woman, 73-year-old Miradije Gashi, her relative, who died a few hours later during treatment at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCK).
Also, today, the 31-year-old herself lost her life after several hours in intensive care.
Family members state that Ardita Gashi, who is suspected of being in a relationship with Ilaz Brahimi, had taken the 73-year-old victim hostage, while the wife of the elderly victim's son and her children were also present inside the house during the attack, Koha.net writes.
The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has confirmed that intensive investigations into this case are underway, while the motive for the murder remains unknown. By order of the prosecutor, the bodies have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for autopsy.
