During the joint conference, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and her Albanian counterpart, Edi Rama, were asked about Albania's EU integration process.
Frederiksen said that during today's summit in Tirana, there was no talk about this process, but said that everything will depend on the meritocracy of each country.
"Today we did not discuss, I think that important steps can be taken in the coming months, but everything will depend on the progress of each country's reforms," said the Prime Minister of Denmark.
Meanwhile, Edi Rama began his response with a joke, saying "we didn't get married today." Rama said that this is a very important moment that we must seize.
Rama clarified that the format of this summit is not directly related to EU enlargement or the accession process. However, he mentioned that the President of the European Council had given a long speech regarding the current position and the steps that need to be taken.
“We must do what is ours and then ask them to do what is theirs,” Rama concluded.
