The Albanian music scene, and in particular the city of Korça, lost one of the most beloved voices of serenades today, singer and composer Nonda Kajno. She passed away at the age of 80.
The announcement was made by Nonda Kajno's family.
"Dear friends and colleagues!
It is with pain and sadness that we announce the loss of our husband and father, Nonda Kajno.
Condolences will be accepted at Imperial Funeral Home.
The funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m.," the family statement said.

Kajno was born in Korça on August 18, 1945 and studied at the "Tefta Tashko Koço" Artistic High School.
He began his artistic career in local cultural activities as a performer of serenades and civic songs and then created original compositions, bringing beloved songs to the public.
"For you, my Korça", "Oh how I have loved you", "So wake up, my daughter" are among his most prominent creations.
Singer-songwriter Nonda Kajnon was one of the most prominent serenaders of Korça song. He remains the first in Albanian history, since the 1970s, to create the first musical group with 3 guitars, which later spread to Tirana.
According to him, serenades cannot be said to be endangered, because they keep the Korça people alive.
"They keep immigrants alive everywhere in the world. It would be better if the local government did not forget this value that Korça has," said Nonda Kajno.
