The well-known actress, Drande Xhaj, was a guest on "E Diell" the other day, where she talked about the Theater in Shkodra, her many roles on stage and on screen. She also mentioned a hilarious story related to the famous sketch 'Kunati i shokut Xhemal'.
"After the show ended, Xhemali met us at home, where Enver Halili, comrade Xhemal's brother-in-law, was. Enver Halili's sister was Xhemal's wife. He happened to meet us there and was near the house phone. We were sitting, Xhemali couldn't reach out to answer the phone that was ringing and called Enver Halili. Apparently, he told comrade Xhemal and he said, "I am comrade Xhemal's brother-in-law." Then the gas exploded.
"The idea was Paulin Selim's, but it was the work of the main role, Zef Deda, who was the brother-in-law. Many tests were done, because it is very difficult to find the character, not all of them are ever found. Several tests and at one point Zefi found him and we all screamed, and he remained in history," said the well-known actress.
She spoke nostalgically about her collaborations with big names in Albanian humor such as Tano Banushi, Zyliha Miloti and many other well-known artists.
"Tano Banushi was a great actor, very simple. Simplicity makes you even more magnificent. He had an archive at home that no one else had. He remembered my birthday and every year he brought me gifts - a flower, a soap. The fact that he was always remembered for me gave me a lot of emotion," the actress said with emotion.
"I have a lifetime with Zyliha Miloti, that is, 47 years with her. I have learned a lot from Zyliha. She is an extraordinary friend, a good friend, wonderful, very loving. Last night until 02.10 I was on the phone with Zyliha, I told her I was leaving for Tirana tomorrow and she wouldn't hang up. She was emotional, she was worried," said Drande Xhaj.
