As the court hearing against Plarent Dervishaj and Julian Meçe continues, 3 witnesses were expected to arrive today, but none of them were found in the apartment.
The Special Prosecution Office requested the court to read the statements given during the preliminary investigation phase.
Aleksandër Laho: I am unemployed and live abroad in Germany, previously I had the name Pëllumb Muharremi. I go to Durrës every day. On November 1, 2019, I went with Stiven Mziun and Agron Bejdolli to the Korali bar on the beach to have lunch. I had lunch at the bar. Then the other two who were at the table left. We stayed at the bar for about two hours. Then we got out and left and Arjan asked me to go in his car to Sukth. I do not remember the event, also due to my health condition. I will give a more detailed statement to the prosecutor in the case. I do not know Ariol Halilaj. After seeing the footage, I recognize the people but cannot identify them.
Plarent Dervishaj: I heard the prosecutor say, let the witnesses come to court and give their explanations here and see if it's me or not, or my co-victim. Based on the testimony given by Alkesandar Laho, do you believe that testimony or not? If these things don't go together, are they contradictory?
Julian Meçe: I am here watching and listening to witnesses who have nothing to do with my trial. Honorable, on November 1st, the police arrested me, they found no additional evidence, I honestly don't understand you.
In the next session, the prosecutor emphasizes that he wants to question both defendants in the trial, Plaurent Dervishaj and Julian Meçe, as well as co-defendants in a related proceeding, who have been tried in other trials for the same issue.
