Police have revealed details of the serious injury that occurred this morning in Korça. It is reported that a conflict between two people allegedly ended in the use of a knife.
According to preliminary information, 54-year-old Gëzim Ramka is suspected of stabbing Rigels Janaqin, 40, in the neck after a fight over weak motives.
The injured man was initially taken to the Korça hospital, but due to his serious health condition, he is being transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for more specialized treatment. Sources indicate that the blow has affected the cervical area of the neck, endangering his life.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested the suspected perpetrator, who has been escorted to the police station for further procedural actions.
"Around 11:30, in neighborhood no. 14, citizen GR, about 54 years old, is suspected of having, during a conflict for weak motives, attacked citizen RJ, about 40 years old, with a cutting tool (knife). Citizen RJ was transported to the hospital and is under the care of doctors.
"The Police Services have arrested the suspected perpetrator, citizen GR, and have escorted him to the premises of the Police Station, for further action. The investigative group is working to clarify and fully document the circumstances of the incident," the police announced.
