The hearing at the Special Court for the case against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi was accompanied by debates between the former MP and the SPAK representative, regarding the evidence administered in the file.
Kryemadhi requested that the Special Prosecution Office hand over all the minutes related to the examination of the mobile phone. She argued that the majority of the file is based on telephone communications and that the absence of these documents violated her right to defense.
"Considering that 90% of the file is with phone messages, I requested this in the preliminary examination, but they were not decided for me. They give us the evidence in a dropper. These minutes do not exist in my documents. I want to know on the basis of which decision this phone was examined. If SPAK has it, make it available to us. In each session, we get a different piece of evidence," said Kryemadhi.
She added that the financial analysis was not made available to her immediately after completion and claimed that one of the disks she received contained files that could not be opened.
On the other hand, SPAK prosecutor Sotir Kllapi stated that all decisions are in the case file made available to the court. He explained that the phone being examined was found in Fatime Kryemadhi's apartment and not a phone previously identified as belonging to Monika Kryemadhi.
"We do not know that the iPhone belongs to Mrs. Kryemadhi. We found it in Mrs. Fatime Kryemadhi's apartment," Kllapi declared. During this statement, Ilir Meta reacted with laughter in the courtroom.
Kryemadhi's lawyer also opposed SPAK's position, emphasizing that the defense had been notified of the accounting expertise, but not of any decision authorizing the expertise of the phone.
At the end of her reply, Kryemadhi described the accusation against her as biased. "The accusation is very sexist. For every action I did, I did it. So, it turns out that I was the servant," she said.
She insisted that she would follow the process to the end and requested that the decision authorizing the examination of the phone be made available to her.
"I know that this process will take time. I will follow the entire procedure. I want this decision. Every piece of evidence I receive changes the chronology. This is an issue that only I can resolve, neither Ilir Meta nor my lawyers will resolve it for me," declared Kryemadhi.
