Korça Police have solved the serious incident that occurred yesterday evening, where a momentary conflict within the family ended with the injury of an 18-year-old with a cutting tool and the arrest of the suspected perpetrator.
According to the official announcement, at around 21:55, a citizen with the initials AS, around 18 years old, presented himself with a head injury at the Emergency Department of the Korça Regional Hospital.
Initial investigative actions indicate that the young man was injured during a conflict over weak motives with his stepfather, citizen NB, 37 years old.
Police say that immediately after the incident, the 37-year-old fled the scene of the conflict in order to avoid arrest. However, thanks to the rapid response of the police services, he was located, apprehended and escorted to the Korça Police Station, where he was subsequently arrested for legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, the investigation group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues its investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to legally document the case. Up to this stage of the investigation, the police have indicated that the conflict occurred for weak motives, while no other details have been provided on the concrete causes that led to its escalation.

After the incident, the 37-year-old fled the scene of the conflict. Thanks to the immediate response of the Police services, it was possible to locate, capture and escort the suspected perpetrator to the Police Station for further procedural actions.
"The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues its work in the field to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document this serious case," the police announced.
