A conflict has ended with the injury of a 40-year-old man with a knife in the village of Golem, Lushnja. According to preliminary information, the incident took place in a bar, where after an argument between two residents of the area, a 17-year-old stabbed the 40-year-old twice with a cutting tool.
Immediately after the incident, the injured man was urgently transported to the Lushnja hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance. Although his condition was initially reported to be serious, medical sources indicate that after the intervention of the health staff, his life is out of danger.
Police forces reacted immediately after receiving the report, arriving at the scene and making it possible to capture the suspected perpetrator. The knife used during the conflict was also seized as material evidence.
The investigation team is continuing its actions to fully clarify the circumstances and motives that led to the escalation of the conflict to the use of cold weapons. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
This is the second incident today, after the stabbing of a young man in Korça due to a suspected debt dispute, bringing the number of knife injuries in the country to two within a few hours.
