Another prostitution case in Durrës has been cracked. Police have arrested 2 Brazilian citizens after they rented an apartment and used it for prostitution. Police found and seized the amounts of money obtained and drugs.
Also, a citizen with the initials KM, 22 years old, resident of Durrës, was prosecuted at large for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
The police specifically seized: 2 passports of foreign citizens, three mobile phones, a notepad, several SIM cards, as well as two small quantities of suspected narcotics, cannabis, and chocolate containing cannabis.
"After several weeks of proactive pursuit, the 10th phase of Operation "STORM" is finalized, to crack down on the criminal activity of prostitution.
They had rented an apartment in neighborhood no. 2 in Durrës and were using it for prostitution and drug use, two Brazilian citizens were arrested.
A citizen is also being prosecuted for prostitution.
Following successive operations, the Trafficking Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Operational Investigation Support Section, after a several-week investigation pursued with proactive methods for the criminal offenses of "Prostitution", "Adaptation of premises for prostitution", "Production and sale of narcotics", "Adaptation of premises for drug use", in cooperation with the Prosecution, the 10th phase of the police operation codenamed "STORM" was finalized.
As part of the operation, citizens BB, 24 years old, and HD, 21 years old, both born and residing in Brazil, were arrested. Citizen KM, 22 years old, residing in Durrës, was also prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
During the intervention of the police forces, these citizens refused to open the apartment door, which was then opened with the help of the Fire Department employees.
The investigative actions carried out revealed that these citizens had rented an apartment in neighborhood no. 2 in Durrës and were using it for prostitution and drug consumption.
"As material evidence, two passports of foreign citizens, a sum of money in euros and lek, three mobile phones, a notepad, several SIM cards, as well as two small quantities of suspected narcotics, cannabis and chocolate containing cannabis, were seized ," the police announced.
