Tirana police have seized a vehicle suspected of being stolen abroad.
According to the police, it is an "Audi SQ8" type vehicle, worth around 50 thousand euros, which after verification turned out to be stolen in Italy.
In relation to this case, citizen VT, 44 years old, suspected of having trafficked the vehicle to Albania with the intention of selling it, was identified and criminally prosecuted.
Authorities say that the crackdown on this case came as a result of investigative and operational work by specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking, while the "Stolen Line" operation continues to identify other similar cases.

As a result of investigative and operational work, following the "Stolen Line" operation, with the objective of cracking down on cases of trafficking in Albania of vehicles stolen abroad, specialists from the Illicit Trafficking Investigation Section cracked down on another case of this activity.
Following procedural actions, an "Audi SQ8" vehicle was seized, worth approximately 50,000 euros, which, upon verification, resulted to have been stolen in Italy.
In this case, criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen VT, 44 years old, who is suspected of having brought the vehicle to Albania with the intention of selling it. Operation "Stolen Line" continues. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
