A serious incident has been recorded in Vlora, where a detainee lost his life after being urgently transported to the hospital.
The victim has been identified as Blerim L., 54 years old, who was in custody on charges of cultivating narcotic plants.
According to preliminary information, the 54-year-old has developed unexpected health problems within the detention facilities. It is suspected that he has suffered a heart attack, which necessitated immediate transportation to the Vlora Regional Hospital.
Despite the immediate intervention of doctors, he was unable to survive the complications and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
After the event, State Police forces and the investigative group arrived at the premises of the Vlora Regional Hospital, and initiated procedural actions to document the case.
The exact cause of death is expected to be determined by forensic expertise, while authorities are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of this event.
