A serious incident has occurred in Fier, after a daughter killed her father.
According to the police, 26-year-old Emanilda Rama is suspected of killing her father yesterday and then, with the help of her mother, they reported it as an accidental event.
The incident occurred in the village of Frashër and the victim is Anesti Rama, 56. Police say it was the young woman who filed a police report, reporting that her father had died in an accident.
But her testimony did not convince the police officers, who after examining the body raised reasonable suspicions that it was a murder.
" As a result of professional and rapid investigations, carried out by specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Fier Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Fier Prosecutor's Office, following the report of citizen ER, 26 years old, at around 23:00 on 23.07.2025, that her father, citizen AR, 56 years old, had accidentally lost his life, in their apartment, in the village of Frashër, the "Stamina" operation was finalized. The Police Services, during the deposition of the 26-year-old and during the first investigative actions, have created suspicion that the loss of the 56-year-old's life was not accidental and for this reason in-depth investigations have continued.
"During these actions carried out in coordination with the Fier Prosecutor's Office, it resulted that citizen Emanilda Rama killed her father, citizen Anesti Rama, for weak motives, with a strangulation device (suffocated with a wire) ," the police said.
Then, the 26-year-old, in collaboration with her mother, citizen VR, 53, allegedly attempted to prevent the discovery of the truth by cleaning the 56-year-old's body. After these actions, the young woman notified the police.
It is reported that the police have arrested the 26-year-old, while her mother is currently being escorted to the premises of the Fier Local Police Directorate, where in-depth investigative actions are being carried out to determine the degree of her responsibility in relation to this case.
Also, investigations continue, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of documenting with legal evidence all the circumstances of this case. The procedural materials were referred to the Fier Prosecutor's Office for further action.
