A road accident occurred this morning on the Saranda-Delvinë axis, near the village of Karahazh, injuring a 16-year-old.
According to preliminary information, a "Golf" type vehicle, driven by citizen D. Cauli, 16 years old, went off the road and ended up in a side ditch.
After being notified by passersby, police and ambulance services immediately arrived at the scene, providing first aid to the minor.
He was urgently transported to Saranda Hospital, where doctors diagnosed a fractured leg and other injuries to his body. Due to his condition, it is expected that the minor will be transferred for specialized treatment in Tirana.
According to initial statements, the 16-year-old suspected that his vehicle may have been hit by another vehicle before losing control, but claimed that he does not clearly remember the moments of the accident.
Police have launched investigations to determine the full causes and circumstances of the incident and to verify whether another vehicle was involved in the accident.
