Protest strengthens Berisha's tired portrait and the ranks of the ruling

As long as Berisha provides the government with the convenience of throwing Molotov cocktails at a store, government residence, art center, or unmarked street every ten days, things are going well for them.

More than Berisha, Edi Rama should think about motivating the regular holding of opposition protests. Berisha's protests and especially the primitive violence against Tirana, businesses, cultural centers and everything in their path, Talibanizing them, are a precious gift in the government's difficult days.

But above all, they are the only political fuel for the government.

At this point, tomorrow's protest is less useful than the others, because it has lowered the bar from Rama to Balluku. When the protest begins, the battle for Balluku has ended with the failure to submit a request to give the court permission to arrest him, and the protest is a kind of celebration of what is happening inside.

Given that protection of politicians and officials from detention is being institutionalized as the position of the majority in power and no longer as a special case, the Ballukun-inspired protest is a good service for him, as it strengthens his political fabric.

The only way for the government to avoid losing the battle horses that SPAK is eating is to confront Berisha's ongoing protests according to a schedule that he sets at the end of each protest.

The day Berisha does not announce the next protest will be a black day for the government, because after that the citizens can deal with it. As long as Berisha provides the government with the convenience of throwing Molotov cocktails at a store, government residence, art center or unmarked street every ten days, things are going well for them.

But it's just as good for Berisha. If he doesn't hold those protests, if he doesn't make his people understand how many of them he has left, he won't have the power to impose himself on other factors in the DP who are annoyed by what's happening, but have nothing to do. Apart from Flamur and Klevis, who may believe that the government falls once every ten days and is reborn again, the others know that nothing happens except the annoyance they may have from tear gas and Molotov cocktails.

So the protest on the 12th will be successful. The square where it will take place in front of the Parliament is small and fills up more easily and the Molotov cocktail battle will follow the opposite path, from the parliament to the government. This is the difference from other protests. The effect is the same. It strengthens the tired portrait of Berisha's opposition and the ranks of the ruling majority. There is nothing more that Edi Rama wants from Berisha.
