Would they be able to take their girlfriends, wives or children to the boulevard if Sali Berisha were prime minister?

70% of protesters were born after 1997.

They have neither seen tanks on the boulevard nor what a police state of siege means.

At 6:00 PM, when the protest begins today, it was curfew time at home and Kalashnikovs were rattling from window to window.

After 6:00 PM, only people wearing masks were allowed on the national road, and you couldn't cross either the Milot or Mifoli bridges.

Women cannot wear necklaces or watches because they would be robbed on every street in Tirana.

But on January 21, 2011, how old were most of the flamingos?

Would they be able to take their girlfriends, wives or children to the boulevard if Sali Berisha were prime minister?

Would they go out with their families if 4 protesters were killed and dozens more were injured?

How old were the protesters on May 26, 1996, when 350 protesters were arrested and thousands were brutally beaten?

Would they be able to come out with pencils and cardboard to draw their children if the boulevard was bathed in blood like it used to be?

How old were the flamingos when thousands of red and black people protested about donating 6 miles of sea to Greece or seizing villas in Lalzi Bay and 100% of televisions or newspapers did not provide any news and were no longer broadcast LIVE?

Do the flamingos know what a luxury it is to have 100% of the media coverage for 4 hours even when they are doing laps in the ring?

Do the flamingos know what fate awaits them in 2026, having every TV, portal, newspaper or social network on the air and every panel of analysts discussing them?

Do the flamingos know that in 2011, 30,000 protesters took to the boulevard to protest Berisha's arrest, and not even 3 seconds of news coverage was given on any television, any portal, and no panel in the evening dared to have a debate topic?

Maybe it's not the time to remind them, but simply to suggest that there's no point in complaining.

Win the battle quickly without giving up, because you are lucky to be protesting without facing a prime minister like Berisha, because otherwise violence would diminish your protest, because at the very least if police violence broke out, your families (women, children) would not be there, nor would the bloggers who come out for photos on Instagram.

It makes me laugh when I see the daughter of a former socialist minister, whose father was a chief judge for 30 years, screaming against the old establishment, but never mentioning her parents.

Protests are a model for youth, but someone needs to remind you that with 10 minutes of microphone in hand, you cannot become an opposition figure.

They should have respect for other generations who have spent 30 years protesting amidst bullets, blood, and state violence.

Saying today "Berisha in prison", or "Rama in prison", is their right, but throwing bulletproof vests at Berisha's doors at the prime minister's office when he was at the height of his power was heroism.

Remove any government that has lied to you, but when will you build your own political alternative? Otherwise, Rama's departure automatically brings Berisha into rotation.

And if Berisha returns, neither you nor your grandson will have a chance to protest, just like your ancestors didn't even cross the Lana Bridge when Sali Berisha was prime minister.

"As one of his colleagues said at the time."

"Dare to come closer, because the bullet in your forehead awaits you."
