Volodymyr Zelensky is in London today to demand from Europe what America is denying it: dignity!
After more than 1,300 days of war, with hundreds of thousands killed and cities reduced to rubble, the West is treating Ukraine's fate as a matter of diplomatic marketing. The United States, caught up in domestic political calculations and a war-weary public opinion, is pushing Kiev toward a "peace" that is, in essence, a capitulation on paper.
The proposals emerging from the Miami talks are dangerous: security guarantees for Ukraine, but no territorial return. Put bluntly: “keep the flag, forget the land.” Meanwhile, Russia rejoices, Putin keeps quiet and waits for the West to sink into its own self-contradictions. This is not diplomacy, it is cynical bargaining at the expense of a nation struggling for existence.
Unlike Washington, European leaders, with all their uncertainties and fears, are still carrying the moral and financial burden of the war. London, Berlin and Paris know that peace that means surrendering territory is only a temporary calm before the storm. They know that a divided Ukraine is the next entry of Russian tanks into their borders.
Therefore, Zelensky's visit to London is a testing moment, not for Ukraine, but for the European conscience.
Zelensky is no longer looking for sympathy. He is looking for the West to keep its word. And if America chooses to back down, Europe must wake up. Now. Because next time, it will not be Ukraine that needs help, but Europe itself that needs salvation./ Pamphlet
