From Erdogan to Berisha: the enigmatic intersection of October 7 in Tirana

But why October 7? What does this date symbolize?

The Democratic Party first announced Sunday, October 6 to practice civil disobedience. So roadblocks, protests in front of the prime minister's office, the parliament, etc.

October 6 is a day and Sunday, when people, that is, opposition supporters, are off. There may not be people in the government offices and the Parliament, but blocking the roads could work, since Sunday is the day when most of Tirana's residents move to the suburbs.

Traffic can be blocked, to show that the opposition has symbolically started civil disobedience, while basic services such as schools, people going to work, etc. have not been paralyzed.

However, PD unexpectedly changed the date and decided to hold the protest on Monday, October 7. But no explanation was given for this sudden change.

But why October 7? What does this date symbolize? Apart from logic as the busiest day of the week, where a road block can cause real chaos, or even the connection with the 1st anniversary of the Hamas massacre in Israel, on Monday, October 7, it is expected that he will come to Tirana for an official visit The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. An unannounced visit by the government or Ankara's propaganda in Tirana.

It seems that we are dealing with a 'flash' visit, where Erdogan will use Tirana to send a clear anti-Israel message, precisely on their day of mourning to commemorate the Hamas massacre where 1400 people were brutally killed and they took more than 300 hostages.

Erdoğan has chosen the Albania of his friend Edi Rama, who was excommunicated by the Israelis recently in New York, to show that he is an opponent of Israel and does so in a country that is his ally. A disoriented protocol solution, typical of what Edi Rama does, that can open controversy and cause trouble for Tirana. Especially from allies. What connection does Berisha have in this? Will he also show opposition to Erdogan's policies together with Rama, to show the West that the opposition is its natural ally, or has he received signals from the Sultan that he can protest strongly to show the Americans that in her court ally things are not stabilized? All this will be answered by the concrete development of events. But if the protest would take place on October 6 - Sunday or Tuesday October 9, none of these hypotheses and doubts would exist. But only the protest would take place.../ Pamphlet
