Macabre scandal in Italy! The rich paid 100 thousand euros to kill innocent
We recall that during the four-year siege of Sarajevo from 1992 to 1996, over 11,000 civilians were killed by Serbian forces who were keeping the city under fire.

Milan prosecutors have opened a shocking investigation into allegations that Italian citizens traveled to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the early 1990s to take part in so-called “sniper safaris,” where wealthy people paid to shoot innocent civilians in besieged Sarajevo.

According to the report by Italian journalist and writer Ezio Gavazzeni, it was a “manhunt” organized by people with a passion for weapons, who paid large sums of money to kill civilians from Serbian positions in the hills surrounding the city. According to some sources, the price even varied depending on whether the target was a man, woman or child.

The investigation is being led by Italian prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis, and the possible charge is murder.

The file contains testimony from a Bosnian military intelligence officer, who indicates that in late 1993 they had discovered the involvement of several foreigners and had passed the information on to the Italian secret service SISMI in early 1994. After a few months, the response received was: “We have stopped it, there will be no more safaris.”

Gavazzeni, who usually writes about terrorism and the mafia, launched the investigation after the release of the documentary "Sarajevo Safari" by Slovenian director Miran Zupanić, which claims that people from several countries, including the US, Russia and Italy, were involved in these crimes.

In his complaint, Gavazzeni claims that around 100 people may have participated in the "safari", paying up to 100 thousand euros in today's value.

We recall that during the four-year siege of Sarajevo from 1992 to 1996, over 11,000 civilians were killed by Serbian forces who were keeping the city under fire.

Meanwhile, former British soldiers who served in Sarajevo at the time have stated that they had never heard of "sniper tourism", calling it an "urban myth" of the war.

However, Italian prosecutors have identified witnesses and are expected to question people connected to this potential international scandal.
