President Donald Trump's 'threatening' statement has Ukrainians in a tizzy. Just minutes after Donald Trump criticized Ukraine's leadership for being ungrateful to the United States, a senior security official in Kiev declared that his country, without a doubt, valued its American partner.
Rustem Umerov, secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, is one of Ukraine's representatives in Geneva for talks today. He was the one who rushed to make a post on his social network 'X', softening the tone towards the US proposal and stressing that some kind of agreement could be reached today.
"Our current proposals, while still incomplete, include many Ukrainian priorities. We appreciate our American partners working closely with us to understand our concerns to reach this critical point, and we look forward to making more progress today ," Umerov wrote on 'X'.
