Donald Trump's administration is revoking visas for foreigners who have made derogatory comments about Charlie Kirk on social media, or celebrated his murder.
The conservative activist and ally of President Donald Trump was shot dead at a campus event in Utah last month.
"The United States is not obligated to accept foreign nationals who wish Americans dead," the US State Department said in a statement.
He added that he continues to identify other foreign visa holders who have made negative comments about Kirk.
The visa revocations are part of a declared effort by the Trump administration, involving much of the government, to silence criticism of the slain figure from both citizens and non-citizens.
In social media posts, the State Department published six examples of foreign visa holders celebrating Kirk's death. Without identifying the foreigners, the department listed their nationalities as Argentine, Brazilian, German, Mexican, Paraguayan and South African.
South African citizen Nhlamulo Baloyi confirmed on Wednesday that the State Department had revoked his U.S. visa. He also claimed in an interview that he was the author of one of the posts. In the post, he wrote: "Charlie Kirk will not be remembered as a hero" and referred to his followers as a "white nationalist scum movement."
In a video from Sandton, South Africa, the 35-year-old said he received confirmation last week that his business visa to the United States had been revoked. The visa was originally scheduled to expire in 2032. Baloyi was in South Africa at the time and had never lived in the United States.
He added that US authorities had not given any details about the reason, other than saying they had received unspecified information. It was only after seeing the State Department's post on social media that he understood what information they were referring to.
"This goes against all the values we know about America," he said, condemning the repeal as a violation of his freedom of speech. In the interview, Baloyi explained that he condemns all political violence and that he was trying to draw attention to the double standards associated with racial issues.
