Journalist Artan Hoxha stated that Mayor Erion Veliaj deserves a fair trial, but this has not happened so far. According to Hoxha, today we have a mayor in isolation, a decision by the Criminal Court, a prime minister who beats his chest saying we have done something that no one has done before.
The journalist raised questions about the Vetting process, referring to Veliaj's claims about prosecutor Olsi Dado.
" Erion Veliaj deserves a fair trial, but this has not happened so far. From the moment the report was made, the charges were filed, first the escort was made and then the arrest, which is a paradox. We have a mayor in isolation, a decision by the Criminal Court, the prime minister who beats his chest saying we have done something that no one has done. How did this man become a prosecutor, we had several vetting structures that we paid for, where did they have their eyes, on their foreheads? How is it possible that you allowed it, if he goes to the Presidency and he only has a letter, a proposal from the Prosecutor General, and you have him as a prosecutor, then you pass him off as a SPAK prosecutor and then you put the whole state in front, someone must be held responsible for this. Make a justice reform, who are the Vetting monitors, what have they done? I am coming from the court today and I know what happened there, the cameras are outside, they cannot go inside", Hoxha said on the show 'Kjo Javë'
