The new leaders of the blue uniforms are expected to be determined in the Korça, Elbasan and Shkodra Regional Police Directorates. 6 candidates have expressed interest in the open competition, while News24 reports that on Wednesday they will appear before the commission that will make the selection.
In the race are officers Loard Sallaku, Alban Çela, Dritan Lena, Uljan Shpataraku, Ardian Çipa and Islor Islami.
The selection process will go through several stages, and in the end, it will be the scores that will determine the ranking.
Loard Sallaku, currently holds the position of director of the Kukes police as commander. Aban Çela advisor to the general directorate, Dritan Lena employee at the National Security Force directorate, Uljan Shpataraku, employee at the General Directorate of the State Police, Ardian Çipa, at the department for international relations and Islor Islami, currently commander director at the Korça Police Directorate.
With the exception of Elbasan, where the head Fatmir Hoxha resigned, in the regions of Shkodra and Korça, the police directors were dismissed. In Shkodra, the changes occurred after the IKMT action to demolish illegal buildings in Theth, while in Korça, after the incident in Devoll where a young man was held hostage by several people.
