Prosecutor Adnan Xholi was the first candidate for head of SPAK to present his platform for leading the institution.
At the conclusion of his interview with SPAK members, he made a strong statement as he said that the three-month period for electing a new SPAK leader was unacceptable.
According to Xholi, the Special Prosecution Office can be run without a president since prosecutors are independent.
"I trust your integrity and whatever decision you make, I am grateful because it will have to be closed as soon as possible. It was an unacceptable three-month period that we turned into legends about what will happen, what will be done. It will be resolved within us, that structure is managed even without a leader. It doesn't matter because prosecutors are independent. The leader is a manager, an administrator. The first among equals, there is no competence that can change decision-making. Thank goodness this day has come to close this because we didn't have the opportunity, we didn't even have the time, but turn on the television because we turned into urban legends," he said .
In today's meeting, Jolie was faced with a sensitive question related to his encounters with organized crime.
Asked by a member of the KLP: "You have faced organized crime gangs since the beginning of your career, how has this affected you personally and the quality of your life? ", Xholi seemed touched as he lowered his head and was silent for a few moments.
He then replied briefly: "My family and I are no longer the first!"
His statement comes as evidence of the dangers and challenges faced by prosecutors trying to combat organized crime, demonstrating Xhol's personal commitment to justice and respect for his family's safety.
This was just one moment from a series of statements that Xholi made today, during the presentation of his platform, to the members of the KLP.
He explained his vision for SPAK, his commitment to gathering evidence before every arrest, and the importance of exemplary leadership for other prosecutors.
