The protest continues with clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement, while citizens demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Clashes during the protest held in front of the Parliament were accompanied by injuries and police escorts.
According to preliminary information, seven State Police officers were injured during the tensions with the protesters, while five citizens were escorted to Police Station No. 1 in Tirana for further procedural actions.
The escorts were carried out after incidents recorded during the rally, where protesters attempted several times to breach the security perimeter set up around the Parliament. During the clashes, eggs, tomatoes and water bottles were thrown at officers, while police used water and pepper spray to disperse the crowd.
Despite the tensions, the protest continued in front of the Parliament building. Demonstrators surrounded the Parliament and continued to chant against the government, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Numerous State Police forces and National Security Force (NSF) personnel continue to be engaged on the ground, who have reinforced security measures throughout the perimeter of the Parliament.
The protest held this Thursday in front of the Albanian Parliament was accompanied by strong tensions, clashes between protesters and the State Police, as well as political debates inside the Parliament hall.
Citizens gathered in front of the Parliament at the same time as MPs held the last plenary session of this parliamentary session. Organizers demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the repeal of several laws, while calls against the government and MPs were heard throughout the protest.
From the first hours of the rally, protesters arrived with crates filled with eggs, which were later used during clashes with the police. They removed the metal fence and then removed the second fence on the pedestrian side, attempting to approach the Parliament building.
Clashes escalated when demonstrators attempted to break through the police cordon and enter Parliament. In response, the State Police used water cannon and pepper spray to disperse the crowd, while protesters responded by throwing eggs, tomatoes and water bottles at the officers.
During the protest, the police also carried out the first escorts. Initially, one protester was escorted after placing garbage bins in the middle of the road to block vehicle traffic. Later, the number of those escorted reached five, who were taken to Police Station No. 1 in Tirana for further procedural actions.
Despite police intervention, the protesters did not retreat and continued to stand in front of the Parliament, addressing strong calls to the deputies, including "Illiterate!", while describing the Parliament as a "Parliament of crime".
The protest was also reflected in the parliamentary debate. The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, accused the State Police of using force against the protesters and demanded an end to the violence. On the other hand, the head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, defended the police actions and accused the opposition of its stance towards the protest, a statement that was followed by strong retorts in the hall and a call for attention from the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, for the language used.

Ky reagim duhet te vinte qe ne diret e para te protestes. Perplasje rezistence qendrese perballje. Nje qeveri kaq e korruptuar nuk ka as legjitimitet as force. Eshte e kalbur, eshte si ajo keshtjella reres. Ne nje vend qe ska drejtesi , qe ska zgjedhje duhet te flas sovrani.
