Activist and protest organizer Arben Kola, who was escorted by the police during the protest held this Monday in front of the Parliament, reacted after his release with accusations against the way, according to him, the rally was managed by the State Police.
In his statement before the prime minister's office, Kola claimed that protesters are facing pressure and attempts at intimidation, while also making a strong accusation that activist Gent Progni was attempted to be attacked with a knife. He did not present public evidence for this claim.
According to Kola, the protest will continue peacefully, while emphasizing that the protesters' goal is not to escalate the situation.
"These scoundrels have put the police only behind the protesters. Gent Progni has been tried to be killed. The State Police has attempted today, through some individuals connected to gangs, to kill Gent Progni. This shows that these bloodthirsty people want blood again. But we want to make this revolution bloodless. We do not want suicides like in '97-'98. So they are trying to blackmail, through various individuals. I assure you that they will not succeed. If some of the figures here are overthrown, killed, you must continue this work. Albania will not be sold, it will not be handed over to the mafia", said Kola.
