Analyst Artan Hoxha spoke about the recent statements made by Adriatik Lapaj and Endri Shabani regarding the mandate of the "Albania Initiative" coalition.
According to the analyst, the situation worsened when Adriatik Lapaj made a promise that he later reneged on. Hoxha describes it as unnecessary noise and raises a hypothesis about the candidates who may come forward with the aim of taking the mandate.
"I think the matter has been aggravated by the fact that they ended up with a mandate and in the run-up to receiving this mandate, Lapaj went to the extreme when he said that if I was ending up with a mandate, I would not receive that mandate. This is the exaggeration that is made because when you go before an audience and say that you will not receive that mandate and if you end up with one, you regret it...
Lapaj was the first to break his word given publicly, Zeqir Kordhoni comes out and breaks it too, and there it goes like a domino effect. Now the game begins. Since one is Shabani's uncle and blocks the process, a cousin of Lapaj will come out and block the process further up, until it reaches the first person on the list.
The problem comes from two moments: That whole coalition with a lot of noise and a lot of media investment on it, ended with one mandate and the second is that Lapaj himself made a public promise that he quickly reneged on. That public promise was unnecessary because if it ends with one mandate, he will not get it. His relationship with the mandate is not fair, he is capricious", Artan Hoxha told "Euronews Albania".
