Today, the 34th consecutive protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama took place in Tirana, and after about 120 minutes of speeches from the improvised podium in front of the Prime Minister's Office, citizens began marching through the city's streets.
In an organized manner, the protesters, just like on Thursday evening, will make their first stop at Police Station No. 3 in Tirana, where some of the citizens who protested in the morning hours of the previous day near the Albanian Parliament are being detained.
Under the chants of "Free the boys" and "The end has come," the protesters set off from Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard towards the police station.
"Down with the patronageists," was another call that protesters chanted, while waving national flags.
The two banners that stood out during today's protest were "Albania is not for sale" and "New Albania," while during the speeches, what was considered unprecedented police violence against peaceful protesters was denounced.
A nationwide protest is expected to be held on Saturday afternoon, with thousands of Albanians from the diaspora expected to arrive in Tirana. Expectations for this protest are high, due to the large number of citizens expected to fill the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard, but not only that.
Kane mesuar metodat policeske te kapitalizmit kunder masave qe protestojne. Piketojne me protagonistet, i izolojne dhe i arrestojne per presion psikologjik ne turmen e popullit. Kete e kam pare edhe ne Britani. Metode e thjeshte e mesuar ne trajnime e shkolla qe jep rezultat, sidomos kur turma eshte laramane e jo shume e vendosur per revolten.
