Doctor Ilir Allkja delivered a harsh speech on the 31st day of the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where he listed what he described as the unfulfilled promises of Edi Rama's government, demanding his removal from power.
In his speech, Allkja initially focused on patronage and accused the prime minister of the language used towards citizens.
" I salute the patronageists and spies who have not spared us a single day. We are in this square also for your dignity, because in a free Albania you will live with dignity and not by spying on working people. Today Rama loosened his tongue and became the most unworthy man who has ever been in the prime minister's chair. I am the sovereign and I have the right to hold Edi Rama accountable ," said Allkja.
The doctor further listed a series of the government's electoral promises, accusing Rama of failing in the most important sectors.
" You promised free healthcare and today Albanians pay 60 percent of healthcare costs out of their own pockets. You promised 24-hour water, but most cities still do not have uninterrupted supply. What did you do in four mandates? We buy food more expensively than everyone else. You promised a renaissance in education, but it is enough to see the results of the PISA test. You promised the protection of the territory and today you have delivered it from north to south ," he declared.
Allkja's speech was greeted with applause by the protesters gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office, who continued on the 31st day chanting "Rama go away", "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison", "New Albania" and "Your end has come".
