Drivers, dissatisfied after the protest the day before, have requested to meet with the Mayor of the Municipal Council, Elpiniqi Merkuri, to discuss their demands and the problems of the public transport sector.
However, local police did not allow them to enter the hall, creating tension and highlighting the lack of dialogue with citizens.
State Police structures have also been notified of this situation, while drivers are seeking answers about the price increase, intercity line tariffs, and working conditions.
This incident reflects a clear lack of transparency and listening to citizens by local government, while drivers and citizens demand that their voices be heard and decisions that directly affect livelihoods and public transport services in Vlora be made.
