Following the government's action to demolish unauthorized buildings, OSHEE has reacted by clarifying that it will no longer allow any connections for constructions that do not meet the conditions.
Among other things, OSHEE emphasizes that it will strengthen control over law enforcement.
"As part of the action launched by the Albanian government to crack down on illegality in the field of construction, the Electricity Distribution Operator (OSHEE) is determined to contribute to this joint institutional effort.
OSHEE is committed to strengthening control and not allowing any new connections to the electricity grid for buildings that do not meet legal criteria.
Special attention will be paid to requests for new connections, in order to avoid any attempts to circumvent the law.
OSHEE will not accept requests for electricity connections from buildings without a building permit or that have not implemented the conditions of the building permit.
"OSHEE remains committed to acting in accordance with legislation and contributing to a safe, legal and citizen-friendly built environment," the announcement states.
