A serious incident has shaken neighborhood no. 4 in Korça, where the body of a 60-year-old man, identified with the initials PS, was found decomposed in his apartment. The victim lived alone and the causes and circumstances of death have not yet been announced.
In a statement to the media, the victim's brother indicated that he had not had contact with him since December, due to distance and personal commitments:
"When I came to check the house, I found him dead. My brother doesn't have a phone, so we didn't communicate. He was separated from his wife, had two children, his daughter lives abroad, while his son lives in Tirana. He was suffering from a heart condition and was being treated with chemotherapy," said the brother.
The investigation team is currently at the scene and is working to determine the cause and time of loss of life, as well as to document the circumstances of the incident. The police appeal for calm and cooperation from citizens, while informing that any further developments will be made public.
