The Ethics Committee in the Assembly has taken measures against Democratic Party MPs Gazment Bardhi and Fidel Kreka, following tensions in the last plenary session in the Assembly on September 18.

During the discussions, the two MPs threw the Constitution book and a bottle of water at Prime Minister Edi Rama, in reaction to one of his statements and the Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Diella.

Thus, the two DP MPs have been suspended for 10 days from participating in plenary sessions in the Assembly.

This decision comes after the letter that the Socialist Party sent yesterday to the Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi, requesting disciplinary measures against several Democratic Party deputies.

The letter states that the session that was supposed to be the first institutional act that determines the political direction and executive composition of the new government was not respected by the Democratic Party deputies.
