Edon Zhegrova could leave Lille, and this is no longer a secret at the French club. However, according to what the media writes, no offer has yet been received for the Dardanian striker.
Despite the interest, Lille is still lacking an official proposal. Coach Bruno Genesio spoke about this topic a few weeks ago in a press conference.
" Regarding his contractual situation, I believe he only has one year left until the end of the season, so obviously, in these cases, there are often two solutions: a contract extension or departure ."
Despite an offer from Napoli of more than €20 million earlier in the year, Lille had chosen to keep him, hoping he would come back strong after an adductor muscle injury.
But the proposed extension was never accepted by the player and an operation delayed his return. Since then, Zhegrova has trained separately, no longer plays and clearly expressed his desire to leave.
President Olivier Letang has no intention of letting him leave, hoping to recoup at least 20 million euros from this transfer.
