"San Siro" officially owned by Milan and Inter, Scaroni reacts:

Today is a historic day for the city of Milan and for Italian football. After months of negotiations, Inter and Milan have signed the deed of purchase of the San Siro stadium and the surrounding areas.

The sale price has been set at 197 million euros, to be paid in several installments. Inter and Milan have provided bank guarantees for the first payment, around 100 million euros, including VAT and old liabilities.

The joint project of the two clubs foresees the construction of a modern stadium with 71,500 seats, on the western side of the current area. The old Meaca structure will be partially preserved and will be transformed into a museum and commercial space. The works are expected to start in 2027 and the complete completion of the plant is planned for 2031.

After the signing, Milan president Paolo Scaroni briefly stopped in front of reporters, commenting: " Beautiful things always take time ."

Scaroni has been one of the main promoters of this project from the beginning, so he is considered one of the winners of the case. On the Inter side, the process was initially followed by Alessandro Antonello, then Massimiliano Catanese and representatives of the “Oaktree” fund, including Catherine Ralf. Other statements are expected on this joint venture between the two Milanese clubs.
