Stavro Pilo was one of AEK's standout players in the quarter-finals of the Conference League, although the Greek team failed to secure qualification for the semi-finals. A 3-1 victory in the return leg in Greece proved insufficient, as AEK had suffered a 3-0 defeat in the first leg away.
Pilos' performance did not go unnoticed. The specialized platform "Sofascore" included him in the best lineup of the second leg quarterfinals in this competition. The player contributed with an assist and stayed on the field for 85 minutes, being one of the most active elements in the offensive department.
AEK showed a better performance in the return match, especially in the defensive department, where the team appeared more organized compared to the first match. Goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha was also a starter in this match.
