Napoli and Galatasaray have finally reached a full agreement for the sale of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, following his highly successful loan spell in Istanbul during the 2024-25 season. Galatasaray have been adamant about buying Osimhen permanently, after he shone last season with 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 games in all competitions.
Although Galatasaray agreed to pay the €75 million release clause in Osimhen's contract during the first half of July, negotiations dragged on for weeks due to disagreements over the structure and payment installments, as well as Napoli's demand for official guarantees.
According to Football Italia, the deal is now definitively closed, and Galatasaray will pay the full amount of 75 million euros by the end of 2026.
The details of the agreement are as follows:
€40 million will be paid immediately
The remaining €35 million will be paid in installments until the end of 2026.
Napoli will also benefit from up to €5 million in bonuses
A 10% resale clause is included.
The deal also includes an "anti-Serie A" clause, which prevents Osimhen from joining a direct rival of Napoli for the next 24 months.
This is a big move for Galatasaray, securing one of Europe's most prolific strikers, while Napoli receive a significant fee and retain partial control over the player's future.
