The Serbian national team will begin their qualifying campaign in a match against Albania, the first decisive match for their progress.
Serbian striker Nikola Stulić, who plays in the Belgian championship, emphasized the importance of this match, stating that the team will give its maximum to get three points.
" It will be a difficult match, but everyone who takes to the field will fight for victory. It is the first challenge for us and it is important to start with a positive result. We are focused and with a clear goal of success ," declared Stulić.
He praised the opponent, speaking with respect for the Albanian national team and coach Silvinjo:
" Albania has quality players. I remember their match against Italy in the European Championship, where they scored from the beginning. They are a strong team, but if we are focused, united and give everything, we can achieve victory ."
Meanwhile, midfielder Aleksandar Katic also spoke about the atmosphere that awaits them in Tirana, emphasizing that the pressure of the local public will not be an obstacle for Serbia.
" It will be a fiery atmosphere, but that doesn't affect us. Many of us are used to playing in packed stadiums, in big Champions League or Europa League matches. On the contrary, it is better to play with fans than without them ," Katic stressed.
