Simone Inzaghi has bid farewell to Inter by prematurely terminating his contract with the Blues, which was due to end in 2026, to start a new adventure in Saudi Arabia on the bench of Al Hilal.
The parties have parted ways amicably, but after a difficult season where the team ended without a trophy and with a failure in the Champions League that will be remembered for a long time. However, Inzaghi has chosen to send a message to the fans through the club, recalling the successes celebrated in these years.
Simone Inzaghi's message:
"Dear black-and-blue family,
The time has come for me to say goodbye to this club after a four-year journey, during which I gave everything.
Every day I have dedicated my first and last thought of the day to Inter. I have been rewarded with professionalism and passion from the players, the management and every employee of the club.
The six trophies won, including the second star title, along with the journey to the Champions League in 2023 and that a few days ago, are tangible proof of how much my work has been supported by a common goal with my staff and with every component of Inter.
I thank the shareholders for their unwavering trust, the President and his associates for their help and daily dialogue. On a difficult day like today, I think it is right to reiterate this sense of gratitude for the discussion that ended a while ago. We were honest and together we decided to complete this magnificent journey.
I want to dedicate a final word to the millions of black and blue fans who cheered me on, cried and suffered in difficult moments, and laughed and celebrated in the six triumphs we experienced together.
